What civil laws in the Western world were derived from the 10 commandments with regard to having no other god before (me), not making graven images, not taking the lord's name in vain, honoring parents, or not coveting what someone else has? None. Civil laws against crimes such as lying under oath (bearing false witness), murdering, and stealing are rooted in creating a stable society, whether or not dominated by the Christian commandments.
