This is a nonsensical assertion. Atheists bring no one any news at all. We are not messengers of anything but our own opinions and perhaps the thought processes and analyses that led us to our conclusions. Atheists have no greater claim to knowledge or truth regarding god and the afterlife than anyone else. We simply have different beliefs.
