Speaking of ancient Egypt, here's one example from the Wikipedia entry for Golden Rule from exactly that source: "A Late Period (c. 664-323 BCE) papyrus contains an early negative affirmation of the Golden Rule: 'That which you hate to be done to you, do not do to another.' " I'm pretty sure most human beings in most societies will agree on that principle; aren't you?
