Since God decided what constituted sins and then decided to send Jesus to forgive humans' sins, wouldn't it have been simpler for God simply to forgive the sins in the first place? Why have a man tortured to death (as were many thousands of people, through crucifixion) just so that people who chose to "believe" it could have their sins forgiven by God? It seems like an unduly complicated solution to a God-created problem.
