Not to provoke an argument, but if the person paying them asks them to put in a backdoor to bypass security measures, is it ethical to do that? If they request data fabrication to conceal a crime (as happened with Bernie Madoff's massive Ponzi scheme), is that ethical? And so on. I think there needs to be a thought process that goes beyond simply following orders in ethically questionable cases (which we all hope are rare).
