My earnings have dropped dramatically in the past month. I write primarily on technical topics, which gather lots of view and reads but few claps or responses. People are clearly enjoying my writing and getting value from it, whether or not they choose to respond. Stories that generate a lot of responses tend to be political, provocative, clickbaity, or personal interest. Why bother to post here now, if the rewards incentives are so biased in favor of certain types of stories?
