If only the metal case of my iPhone weren't so slick as to easily squirt out of my hand, I would have no need for a nicely textured, aftermarket case at all. It doesn't reduce the usability in the least, and I couldn't possibly care less about status symbols or what someone else thinks about my phone. My phone is not "an experience, a statement, and yes, even a reflection of [my] worldview." It's a damn phone!
