Far sooner than that, since a trillion years is about 70 times the duration of the known universe. But why should there be any meaning to life? Do you really believe the entire universe, in all its incomprehensibly vast dimension, was created just for us little ol' humans? That's not very efficient of god, if so.

Why should the universe be heading somewhere? It simply is, and each of us is along for a ride on a tiny fragment of its existence.

I believe there is no ultimate meaning or purpose in life, other than what each individual makes of it through the ways they interact with and influence others around them. Is that not enough for you? It's plenty for me.
