Attila, I find a lot of value in having templates. The trick is not to be a slave to the template. Templates provide a consistent way to organize content following a pattern, and they also remind the user to think about whether certain information should be recorded or not. It's easy to overlook a particular piece of information such as a specific category of requirements. If there's a slot for that information in the template, that reminds you to ask yourself if you've missed something, if some topic hasn't been discussed yet, if some piece of information, has been misplaced, or if that item doesn't pertain to your project. Populate the template as you acquire the information, not from top to bottom.
